Meet Our Founder
Meet Miss Kelly
Your children are in safe hands with our highly experienced, patient and warm-hearted yoga teacher. Kelly holds a Dual Bachelor degree in Behavioural Studies and Middle Years Education and is an expert on working with and supporting children, having been a classroom and arts teacher for over 15 years. In combination with her own dedication to a personal yoga practice of over 15 years, Kelly has completed over 400 hours of certified yoga and yoga therapy training for kids and adults, making her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She brings a passion for inspiring children to believe in themselves, be courageous and feel calm.
Kelly has always been passionate about health and wellness and loves the connection to self and peace of mind that yoga offers. In fact, the very reason Kelly started yoga was to help manage her own stress and anxiety in her early 20s. In 2019, she was inspired to follow her intuition, travelling to the home of yoga in Rishikesh, India to complete her first 200 hour yoga training. Today, she is proud to have found her own superpower - helping people feel calm from the inside out.
With a personal commitment to her own yoga practice, working with children for over a decade, life experiences with managing stress and anxiety and strong values for health and wellbeing, nothing lights Kelly up more than seeing the benefits that yoga and art has on peopleโs wellbeing, happiness, and inner self confidence.
When not on the yoga mat, Kelly enjoys cuddles with her cat, Bella and Beagle, Mia. Connecting with friends, relaxing at local parks and beaches and reading books make her heart happy. Her creative side comes out best when sheโs drawing, painting, teaching yoga and dancing. Kelly loves green tea, canโt get enough of sushi, and is obsessed with avocado and eggs!
At Ignite Yoga, we are passionate about inspiring and empowering children and adults to IGNITE the light within; to be the brightest version of themselves. Because everyone deserves to feel calm, confident and connected.
